4.26.01 "World Camp for Kids" charity event at pantana bobs in chapel hill

This was an awesome show..it was definitely a different scene than we're used to, but was all about the charity and Milo so why get hung up on the atmosphere? Another one of my favorites, Roman Candle, opened the show with a wonderful little set..as always. thanks to Skip for covering U2's "One" per our request...that man has such a powerful voice! Milo took the stage a little later than planned, but it was certainly well worth the wait. The crowd was pretty mellow for the whole night...that is until "Milotime". Everyone jumped out of their seats and rushed to claim their space and huddle up and around the band. Unwilling to try to hold my own in the crowd I chose to cut a rug on the chair :-) i had an awesome view and the best seat in the house...

So they unpredictably opened with "clockwork", a song we like to call "that's my jam", gosh tim has such a phat beat at the end of that uh uh-t-uh uh uh uh! Here's what the rest of the night looked like: "even if you knew the language", "act of exciting", "nothing given", a beatles cover, "loaded gun" , and then they wrapped it up with "low flying planes". But wait, what's this...an encore you say? Yes, the crowd got "rowdy bowdy" and would not let Milo leave shouting and chanting for more. The boys were dumbfounded ....so was I, for this was their first encore (well, at least the first one i've seen). They played "pay my way" for the encore and this ended the set (according to them they played every song they had to play). But, you and I know that this isn't entirely the whole truth...there's always "penny" and "quarter past" :-) hopefully one day these songs will come out of retirement...lets keep our fingers crossed! ..until next time

this show raised $1600 for the "World Camp for Kids"..way to go boys!!!
