History

Milo, originally Paper Heroes, was founded in 1998 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Paper Heroes' original line up was Russ Baggett, Dan Colston, Tim Ellis, Andrew Kinghorn, and Tim Smith, all were freshmen at UNC-Chapel Hill at the time. Their gigs were at GO! Rehearsal studios and various small venues around the Carrboro/Chapel-Hill area. Shows were few and far between with very short sets but they always brought in a crowd, keeping them rocking with songs like Quarter Past and Penny. The year 2000, brought about a world of change for the band. Paper Heroes ditched their name and took on the Milo moniker, Jeremy Buenviaje replaced Dan Colston on bass, and the boys headed to the studio. Milo started off 2001 with a bang. Shows, shows and more shows! They even had their first out-of-state gig in Virginia. Currenlty Milo has a number of dates lined up and they keep coming! (check the live page) They're on their way and there's no where else to go but up!
